Pope “Saint” John XXIII and Pope “Saint” John Paul II? Not!

Apr 27, 2014

With the supposed “canonizations” of Popes John XXIII and John Paul II causing priests and faithful to fall to the left (Novus Ordo mentality) or right (Sedevacantism), we of the Our Lady of Good Success Mission keep straight ahead and continue to accept Pope Francis as a valid pope and at the same time refuse to accept the “canonizations” of these conciliar popes.  Whether these popes are in heaven we cannot definitely judge, but we cannot hold them up to be models of sanctity.  To venerate and emulate them would be to place our souls in jeopardy of eternal damnation!  We are confident that Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre would have taken the same position as we do now.  Let us continue to keep the straight and narrow path as do Bishop Williamson, Fr. Pfeiffer, Fr. Hewko, Fr. Chazal, Fr. Ortiz, and Fr. Girouard along with many other priests and faithful of the Catholic Resistance.

Please keep in mind that the Church has never defined that canonizations are infallible.  It is true that many pre-Vatican II theologians have claimed that papal infallibility extends to canonizations.  I personally believe this is very possible.  However, even if this were true, the Church has yet to define the conditions required for canonizations to be infallible.  The Dogma of Papal Infallibility only defines the conditions required for the pope to be infallible in proclaiming a doctrine concerning Faith or Morals.
